SEON, a fraud prevention and AML platform, has strengthened its executive leadership with the appointment of Björn Heckel as Chief Technology Officer.
With over 20 years of experience at large technology corporations like Salesforce, Uber, Intuit and Ellie Mae, Heckel brings extensive expertise in software engineering and proven leadership in high-growth environments.
His appointment, according to the company, underscores its commitment to innovation and efficient operations as it continues to combat fraud and protect against revenue threats.

Before becoming part of SEON, Björn Heckel held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Taxfix.
During his tenure, Taxfix successfully secured a $220m Series D round funding, emphasising the simplification of tax filing systems through chat interfaces.
Preceding his role at Taxfix, Heckel played crucial roles in Silicon Valley, contributing to the development of SaaS platforms and consumer-facing applications in executive leadership capacities at Salesforce, Uber and Ellie Mae, respectively.
SEON’s development
Heckel will spearhead the company’s research and development efforts, aiming to position the company as the end-to-end anti-fraud system of record for fintechs and large enterprises.
This strategic focus, as stated by SEON, aligns with its commitment to delivering comprehensive solutions in the ever-evolving landscape of fraud prevention.
