HiveWatch has recently named Rick Guetschow as its new Chief Technology Officer.

The physical security software company has appointed Guetschow to help develop the long term strategy for technological implementation across the organisation.

Guetschow will also be involved in managing data security for HiveWatch, collaborating with the company’s engineering and product teams to ensure continuous innovation for its Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operating System (OS).

“A culture of information and data security”

With over two decades of experience in information security, compliance and cybersecurity, Guetschow previously served as the Information Security Officer at Episource.

In that role, he was responsible for overseeing the vision and strategy for cloud architecture and implementation as well as providing compliance oversight under HIPAA and HITRUST.

“My mission is to foster a culture of information and data security so that HiveWatch can continue to innovate quickly and solve some of the biggest challenges that the physical security industry faces,” Guetschow commented.

“While the Internet of Things is more prevalent in physical security now than ever before, we’ve seen that there are significant gaps in the security of these devices that must be addressed.

“I look forward to adding to the foundation on which HiveWatch is built to minimise risk and be more proactive.”
