Micro-X has confirmed a major leadership change, with the company’s Founder and Managing Director retiring and joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Peter Rowland – who registered Micro-X as a company in Melbourne in September 2011 and established it as a global leader in x-ray imaging technology – is now transitioning the leadership role to Kingsley Hall, who has been named Chief Executive Officer.

In February 2020, Hall joined Micro-X as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. In this role, he had responsibility for its finances and was tasked with strengthening Micro-X’s commercial leadership.

A key member of the leadership team since joining the business, Hall has been instrumental in driving financial strategy and capital markets activities.

He also played an integral role in agreeing the strategic partnership and funding agreement, worth $15m, with Varex Imaging in late 2022.

“Micro-X is an outstanding technology company”

According to the company, Hall will now work closely alongside Anthony Skeats, Chief Operating Officer and Dr Brian Gonzales, CEO – Americas and Chief Scientific Officer.

The appointments come at a critical time for Micro-X, with the company preparing to commercially launch its first security product – the Argus X-ray Camera.

“I believe there are exceptional commercial opportunities available to us in our target markets of healthcare, security and defence,” Hall commented.

“Micro-X is an outstanding technology company with a team of deeply dedicated and exceptional people who are passionate about what we do.”

“I am also indebted to Peter Rowland for his support and mentorship. While our team has much to do, he is leaving Micro-X with multiple products capable of securing leading positions in multi-billion-dollar markets.”
