RGB Spectrum has introduced its latest product, the Zio Recording System, which supports third party IP signal sources alongside Zio-generated streams.

Available in both commercial and ruggedised versions, this system accommodates signals up to 3840×2160, 60Hz, including cameras, computers and more.

RGB Spectrum’s system

RGB Spectrum‘s system is compatible with third party playback applications like VLC, as well as its own decoders and multiviewers.

Engineered for scalability, the Zio Recording System comes in 1RU and 2RU configurations to meet varying storage needs.

Fully interoperable with the entire Zio product family, including encoders, decoders, multiviewers and video walls, users have the option to choose between H.264 or H.265 video compression for optimal video quality or bandwidth efficiency.

Key components of the Zio Recording System include recorders with customisable storage capacities capable of simultaneous recording and playback of up to 30 IP streams.

With features such as FIFO architecture for efficient recording and the ability to export video segments for external playback, users have comprehensive control over their recorded content.

The features

The system also supports single stream and synchronised group playback with full control options like Jump to Time, Pause, Resume and variable playback speeds ranging from 0.1x to 10x.

Encoders are offered in single or multi-channel options, in standard or ruggedised enclosures and compliant with BAA and TAA standards for government applications.

Decoders are available in various single and multi window configurations, with optional ruggedised versions meeting TAA or BAA/TAA compliance.

The US-based Mercury Systems offers an optional server specifically hardened for mobile and military applications, with toughened versions of all components utilised by the US Navy and other armed services.

The Zio Recording System, according to the company, marks a significant advancement in IP video recording technology, boasting exceptional performance, reliability and versatility.
