Fingerprints and IN Groupe launch Secure Component solution

Fingerprints and IN Groupe, through its SPS brand, have confirmed the launch of their Secure Component solution for contactless biometric payment cards.

The solution will support global manufacturers to scale up production of next-gen payment cards.

Through the SPS brand of IN Groupe, the cards are now ready for mass global rollout.

SPS’s cards are said to incorporate Fingerprints’ second-generation T-Shape (T2) sensor module and software platform.

This technology is said to offer ultra-low power consumption, leading biometric performance and is based on STMicroelectronics’ STPay-Topaz-Bio solution.
