Dallmeier electronic will once again present its video information solutions to an international audience at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2022 in Barcelona. The video surveillance systems based on the manufacturer’s patented ‘Panomera’ multifocal sensor cameras are already in use in hotspots of more than 35 major German cities and many other metropolises worldwide.
Dallmeier electronic will have its own stand at this year’s Smart City Expo World Congress from 15 to 17 November 2022. In Hall P2, the company from Regensburg, Germany, will show its solutions for ‘Safe City’ applications.
Safe City: maximum situational awareness with minimum effort
The focus of the trade fair presentation is on covering large urban areas with a fraction of the camera systems required compared to conventional solutions. For example, when using camera systems with multifocal sensor technology, cities need up to 80% fewer systems than comparable solutions with classic megapixel cameras, depending on the requirements. For the operators of urban video security solutions, this means significantly improved situational awareness with lower personnel costs at the same time.
Low total cost of ownership: 17,000 sqm with only 14 cameras.
Due to the large coverage per camera, the technology ensures low total cost of ownership through combined savings in infrastructure, implementation and operation. In Frankfurt, for example, the police monitor an area of almost 17,000 sqm with only 14 Panomera cameras, with a minimum resolution density of 250 pixels per metre (px/m, image quality ‘Identify’ according to DIN EN 62676-4).
A remote-controlled ‘data protection roller blind’
A central issue in video surveillance for cities is also data protection. In addition to numerous technical features to comply with the ‘Privacy by Design’ guidelines of the GDPR, in some countries the legislator already requires a highly visible deactivation of video surveillance in public places. At the event in Barcelona, Dallmeier will be showing the ‘Panomera Privacy Shield’ for this purpose, a remote-controlled ‘privacy blind’ that can be used to cover video systems in public places remotely.
In the focus of urban decision-makers: data security and ethical responsibility
Two other topics are becoming increasingly important for cities: cyber security and ethical responsibility in investment decisions. Interested decision-makers in Barcelona have the opportunity to talk to Dallmeier experts about these challenges and learn how they can implement ethically sustainable and maximally cyber-secure video security solutions with products and solutions ‘Made in Europe’.
