As part of its growth strategy, Axis Communications has set to inaugurate an R&D office in Stockholm, Sweden during Q1 2024.
The new office underlines the company’s dedication to significant investments in research and development.
Axis’ commitment to fostering growth
With approximately 18% of Axis revenue reinvested in R&D last year, the new site will host key engineering competencies and focus on areas like ASIC design, hardware product design, QA and software development.
According to Axis, this move aligns with its commitment to fostering growth and takes advantage of Stockholm’s vibrant tech ecosystem, rich in talent and innovation.
Further expansation
Gustav Kälvesten, R&D Director, Axis commented: “We have already begun recruiting for a strong initial team, which will act as a stepping-stone to around 100 colleagues within a couple of years.
“From there we hope to grow in size to allow us to further expand.”
Axis‘ establishment of the Stockholm office will coincide with the growth of the Lund and Linköping sites, with the new facility scheduled to open in early 2024 and located in the western area of Kungsholmen.
