360 Vision Technology, the UK manufacturer of rugged HD, radar and thermal PTZ imaging cameras, has reinforced its commitment to green technology, announcing its support of UK-wide tree planting schemes, which will see trees being planted for every camera sold into the public sector.

Specifically, for every Invictus camera sold, not one but three trees will be planted and for every Predator camera sold, five new trees will be planted.

The tree planting scheme is available for all camera orders taken for local authority and public sector surveillance systems. The new scheme will see 360 Vision supporting improved environments across the UK, joining the London tree-planting scheme, as well as other similar town and city schemes.

This initiative further underlines the company’s commitment to a greener future, having already built a green reputation developing the ultra-low power consumption, low carbon footprint Predator and Invictus PTZ cameras. The 360 Vision R&D team have always considered green credentials a top priority and as a result, the company’s security surveillance camera range features the most energy efficient, ruggedized PTZ cameras available, operating down to an unrivalled 12 Watts power draw (when idle).

With their core PTZ cameras now having been assigned Elexon Charge Codes, this operational functionality is now enabling significant cost savings on electricity and reduced environmental impact for surveillance system operators.

“360 Vision Technology takes its role in the CCTV manufacturing industry seriously and this new tree planting scheme will ensure that our green commitment has a positive impact on the wider environment,” says Mark Rees, Managing Director at 360 Vision Technology. “Alongside our commitment to green manufacturing, culminating in the low power consumption of our camera range, the tree planting scheme means that our local authority and public sector surveillance customers can be reassured that we are doing our very best to positively improve town and city environments.”
