Thousands of security professionals will once again return to the NEC in Birmingham from 7-9 September.

The Security Event is set to be the first major exhibition to take place in the sector when it opens its doors on 7-9 September 2021 at the NEC in Birmingham and for the first time it will also encompass the National Cyber Security Show.

The event last ran in 2019 and has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But it is set to welcome visitors after lockdown ends in July and signal the return of face-to-face physical events.

The Security Event is the leading UK exhibition that targets the commercial and residential security market, this free-to-attend event will bring together a world-class education programme, market leaders and industry experts back at the home of UK security.

It is uniquely co-located with The Health and Safety Event, The Security Event, The Facilities Event, The Emergency Services Show and the newly-launched National Cyber Security Show. This means that delegates only have to register once to have access to all six events, which form part of Nineteen Group’s Safety and Security Series, giving them access to six major events in one unmissable opportunity.

The organisers are expecting more than 28,000 delegates to attend across the three days and there are already more than 900 exhibitors signed up to showcase the latest products, services and training and the events span over 54,000 square metres – making these events the biggest of their kind in the UK.

Event Director, Tristan Norman said: “The Security Event 2021 will be double the size of the 2019 version as well as have double the number of exhibitors and double the amount of content. The entire show is a different beast to what it was in 2019 and we just can’t wait to provide that platform for the industry to get back to doing what it does best.”

He added: “The sheer amount of new products that are going to be on show and available at The Security Event will be fantastic. Just as we’ve been busy behind closed doors, I know for a fact that all of our exhibitors have been working to develop new products, solutions and integrations which they cannot wait to demonstrate to our audience.

“In addition to the product innovation on display, visitors can also expect a lot of networking opportunities. We are the largest and only commercial security event in the UK in 2021 and we are creating a platform for the industry to meet in one place once again.”

Unrivalled CPD content

Across the Safety and Security Series there will be more than a dozen educational theatres offering 300+ hours of CPD content. These seminar sessions are all free-to-attend and visitors will receive CPD points for attending any session.

We originally created The Security Event with nine founding partners and we are delighted to say that they are all still on board with us and support the show fully. The event is designed by the industry, for the industry and everyone seems to have got behind that ethos.
