Suprema has released the latest version of its under-display ultrasonic fingerprint recognition algorithm, BioSign, for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, compatible with the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2.

Since 2019, Suprema has been integrating its fingerprint recognition algorithm into various models of the Galaxy S series, starting with the Samsung Galaxy S10.

Suprema’s solution

The company‘s BioSign 6.0 version, integrated into the Samsung Galaxy S24, has garnered attention for its enhancements in fingerprint recognition speed and security.

Compared to its predecessor, BioSign 5.0, BioSign 6.0 improves both speed and accuracy, providing better user convenience.

According to the company, one significant feature is the optimised AI-based fingerprint analysis algorithm, which efficiently processes extensive fingerprint data collected through the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen-2.
