Major product award win for OPTEX

OPTEX’s REDSCAN Pro sensor series was named as the Perimeter Security Product/Service of the Year at the Intersec Awards 2023.

The award recognises products and initiatives that are coping with a challenging and evolving external environment that demonstrate clear innovation as well as sustainability that supports energy efficiency, enhanced performance and reduced environmental impact.

The winners were unveiled at a prestigious ceremony at the Ritz Carlton, DIFC, Dubai on 18 January.

Extremely reliable and versatile, the REDSCAN Pro range uses LiDAR technology to create a high-resolution virtual laser wall or plane up to 100m long. The sensors integrated panoramic assistance camera allows users to visualise the detection area and quickly make an optical alignment if necessary.

REDSCAN Pro is also ONVIF protocol (Profile S) compliant, meaning it allows alarm outputs and the video stream from the assistance camera to be sent to any ONVIF-compliant network video system or IP network devices.

The series includes two models, the RLS-3060V and the RLS 50100V, featuring 30x60m and 50x100m detection range respectively.
