IDS has introduced the 2 MP sensor IMX662 in both colour and monochrome versions, offering compact and cost effective solutions for industrial applications.
As part of Sony’s Starvis 2 series, these sensors prioritise light sensitivity for optimal performance in low ambient light conditions.
IDS’ camera range
Available as compact uEye+ XCP models or board level versions in the uEye+ XLS series, both camera families feature a compact design suitable for embedded applications.
The uEye+ XCP models feature a closed housing with a C-mount lens holder, while the uEye+ XLS models are available as board level cameras with or without a lens holder, providing flexibility for different installation requirements.
These USB3 industrial cameras deliver impressive results, particularly in low light environments.
“Improves image quality”
In addition to the special, highly sensitive pixel technology, customers benefit from another distinctive characteristic, as Jürgen Hejna, Product Manager uEye, IDS explained: “We offer this rolling shutter sensor with anti-reflection coating, which further improves the image quality.”
“Customers can get the new models for well under €200 list price.”
The company aims to offer the complete Sony Starvis 2 sensor lineup across various camera families in the future. This initiative is geared towards granting customers maximum flexibility in their choice of these light sensitive sensors.
