Gallagher has recently confirmed that the cloud-hosted services provided by its Command Centre solution have been accredited with the System and Organization Controls (SOC2 Type 2) certification.

The SOC 2 framework – which is built on the five principles of Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality and Privacy and is maintained by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) – is the latest certification obtained by the company.

Businesses can be audited against any combination of the five principles outlined above and are reviewed by a third party to guarantee compliance. This accreditation will help reassure customers that Gallagher is a company that responsibly handles data.

Mark Junge, Global General Manager, Gallagher commented: “Any business with cloud-hosted solutions that is serious about their data protection and privacy measures should be prepared to undergo this type of scrutiny.

“At Gallagher, our customers place a huge amount of trust in our people and our security solutions – the onus is on us to demonstrate we are worthy of this trust.”

This certification also strengthens the move of Gallagher’s Command Centre from an on-premises solution to a cloud-based one. Guy Irvine, who is leading this enhancement, added: “This certification is evidence that the future of our enterprise security solution has cybersecurity and data ethics at its core.”
