barox Kommunikation AG, the global manufacturer of professional standard switches, PoE media converters and IP extenders specifically designed for video applications, will be exhibiting at Security Essen, 20-23 September, stand number 5B19.
At the show, barox will be displaying their latest managed and unmanaged Ethernet switch range, including the all-new RY-LPITE-422XGME 10Gbits Din Rail, L2+ managed GbE PoE+ switch. The next-generation switch offers powerful L2 and basic L3 features, with better functionality and usability, as well as extensive management features, via its user-friendly embedded barox Device Managed System (DMS).
Importantly for network engineers, the RY-LPITE-442XGME features 4×10/100/1000TX PoE+, 4×10/100/1000TX PoE++ ports (802.3at/af/bt and total up to 381W), 2 x10GbE SFP+ ports and an RJ45 console port, to deliver high performance and environment flexibility for any industrial application.
Integrated solutions
Promoting the ease and depth of integration with third party VMS control, with more simple, quicker and lower-cost installations, barox will also be showing their Smart-barox plugins for Milestone and advancis. Enabling barox active switch integration with MOBOTIX HUBand WinGuard VMS, XProtect, barox integration delivers enhanced diagnostic data, showing the status of cameras and switches and allowing the fast pinpointing of network/device issues. For example, if a network camera fails to respond, barox switches can be used to select a device and send a re-boot command.
In addition, barox integrated Device Management System (DMS), features numerous helpful network monitoring functions, which allow the visualisation and analysis of all hardware and connectivity. Enabling faults and outages to be diagnosed remotely, barox tools include PoE monitoring, cable diagnostics and remote switch traffic monitoring, where per port live data traffic is shown on a graphical chart, allowing the whole video network and all connected cameras to be analysed.
“We’re looking forward to meeting and greeting our customers on our German beer themed carousel stand, after the past years, it’s now all about social contact, after all, you can’t email a handshake!” says Rudolf Rohr, barox Co-Founder & Managing Partner. “At the show, we’ll be demonstrating the performance benefits of how barox products, designed to meet the demands of video surveillance networks, can be deployed to deliver highly efficient operation for any IP video surveillance network.”
