ASIS has announced that this year’s ASIS Europe conference, ‘From Risk to Resilience’, is set to take place in Vienna, Austria from 20-22 March.

The event aims to explore the role of security in supporting business objectives, addressing both physical and cybersecurity risks and highlighting the crucial management roles of security leaders in multinational organisations.

Inge Huijbrechts, Conference Co-Chair, Global Senior Vice President Sustainability, Security and Corporate Communications, Radisson Hotel Group commented: “Our world is increasingly complex, our roles reflect that.

“We manage security strategy, information sharing with our executives and boards, lead teams, tactical implementation, crisis management and reporting obligations.

“It’s an extremely demanding mix so I am excited to Co-Chair the conference at ASIS Europe because I believe it’s exactly the event security professionals need.”

The opening keynote on 21 March will feature General (ret.) Tom Middendorp, former Chief of Defense of The Netherlands, who will speak as Chairman of the International Military Council on Climate and Security (IMCCS), sharing insights on the intersection of climate change risk and security concerns.

On 22 March, Ambassador Julianne Smith, U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, will discuss the current geopolitical landscape and its implications for business risk.

The company‘s Europe conference has become a key gathering for security leaders across Europe and beyond, offering over fifty educational sessions, community meetups and twelve hours of networking opportunities to facilitate peer to peer dialogue and foster new partnerships.

“The right people in the room”

Gavin Henderson, Conference Co-Chair, Vice President/Chief Security Officer, Regional Security, Mastercard explained: “It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of challenges our organisations are facing.

“That’s why partnership is so vital.

“This event has the right people in the room to help you, your team and your organisation work through whatever 2024 throws at us.”

The onsite networking will be centred around an exhibition area featuring 48 exhibitors, including headline sponsors Nedap, Genetec and Securitas.

Show Passes are still available, although All-Access and Leadership Passes have already sold out.
