Apstec Systems has confirmed plans to expand the launch of its new smart screening solution – the Human Security Scanner (HSS) Falcon – at Milipol Paris, France.

The technology is capable of screening people, hand-carried bags and cabin-sized luggage for explosives.

The new solution automatically detects explosives, weapons, pyrotechnics, narcotics and cash.

Streamlining the screening process of large numbers of people and their belongings, HSS Falcon is ideal for deployment during operations at difficult-to-secure crowded venues.

For example, mass transport, sports stadia, major events as well as customs and border agencies.

According to Apstec, the mobile solution fits easily and unobtrusively into the customer environment and can be rapidly deployed for indoor or outdoor use – independent of infrastructure.

“Proportionate and cost-effective”

“We are thrilled to be expanding the launch of HSS Falcon at Milipol Paris and looking forward to meeting customers and partners to introduce this revolutionary technology,” said Stephen Cooper, COO, Apstec.

“Organisations and government agencies from around the world have been searching for practical, proportionate and cost-effective screening solutions for some time.

“In HSS Falcon, we are delivering the next generation screening technology the market has been waiting for; it is cost-effective, deployed in minutes and has the ability to detect threats unlike any other technology,” added Cooper.
