Qognify, a leading provider of video and enterprise incident management (EIM) solutions, has recently announced a global video management system (VMS) roll-out project with the leading research-driven biopharmaceutical company – Boehringer Ingelheim.

Boehringer Ingelheim has a global footprint with about 180 sites around the world. To effectively support video surveillance, Boehringer Ingelheim decided to standardise hardware and software approach in configuration and rollout of IT systems. Thanks to the ease of deployment, high scalability and customisation abilities of Qognify‘s Cayuga VMS, Boehringer Ingelheim could significantly reduce deployment time for new CCTV instances, reducing overall project cost and time effort.

This also includes physical security applications – in particular the VMS. This variety of sites introduced a challenge for the VMS system that could support end users with their requirements as well as satisfy IT needs for stability and ease of support.

To find the right VMS that would meet all its current and future requirements, Boehringer Ingelheim conducted an in-depth vendor selection process, pitting the market-leaders in video management systems against each other and comparing them with over 200 relevant questions from areas of IT security, system expandability and reliability of operation, as well as ease of deployment or expandability, followed by physical testing conducted by end users and technical teams.

Out of the process, Qognify’s VMS solutions has been selected as ideal for multi-site enterprise environments of Boehringer Ingelheim, with its focus on easy installation, configuration and management. Supporting the majority of network cameras available on the market, Cayuga manages all camera feeds to enable holistic video monitoring, at a glance, whether centrally on-site or remotely, with ease.

Thanks to Cayuga’s ease of deployment, high scalability and customisation abilities, Boehringer Ingelheim could significantly reduce deployment time for new CCTV instances, reducing overall project cost and time effort.
