Videx Security has launched the 2870, an interface device designed for its range of two-wire video kits, 2300 two-wire video bus system and 2200 digital bus system.
The company states that the module is set to transform how users manage and control intercom systems, offering flexibility and enhanced security features.
2870
The 2870 allows audio calls to be received on a mobile phone or landline, either as a replacement for or in parallel with a Videx telephone allowing users to talk to visitors even when they are away from the property and if required grant them access.
It can support up to 180 apartments on a 2200 system and up to 99 apartments on a 2300 system, making it suitable for both single and multiple entrance systems, and compatible with Videx concierge units.
“A game-changer”
Rob Sands, Technical Director at Videx Security, said: “Our new 2870 interface device is a game-changer for both existing and new installations.
“With its advanced features and ease of integration, it provides users with a highly flexible and secure access control solution,” Sands concluded.
Key features
The company says that the key features of the 2870 include:
- Dial to Open: Accommodates up to 2000 users who can trigger either of the two onboard relays
- RS485 Bus Integration: Connects up to eight proximity readers, entrance relays or coded access keypads, allowing for an access control system managed via the cloud, PC software or Videx apps
- Extensive Access Options: Supports 2000 proximity users, 400 unique access codes and 32 temporary access codes, as well as 2000 dial-to-open users and 32 temporary dial-to-open users, all with customisable access levels.
- Alarm Management: Capable of managing alarms from apartments, which can activate a relay or send an SMS message to a master number
- Event Log: Maintains an event log accessible via the cloud, PC software and apps for thorough monitoring and record-keeping
- Additional Features: Free access, holiday settings and various programmable options to tailor the system to specific needs.
Videx highlights that the 2870 can be fitted to existing systems or used in new installations, requiring only a 12Vdc power supply, antenna and SIM card.
