Mission critical video solutions provider RGB Spectrum has recently completed a major project to enhance monitoring operations for the Port of Valparaiso in Chile.
The company’s video wall processor powers the Terminal Pacífico Sur Valparaíso to ensure that 24/7 monitoring can be achieved.
The command and control centre enhances security for what is the country’s second busiest port.

According to RGB Spectrum, an upsurge in cruise and freight activity made it imperative that the port significantly enhanced real time monitoring of operations.
This includes the loading and unloading of ships and the detection of drugs and explosives.
By partnering with the specialist video solutions provider, RGB Spectrum was able to assist personnel looking to identify potential issues.
By implementing the company’s solution, personnel can now respond rapidly and effectively.
The port enlisted the technical AV services of Convergint for its command and control centre, who in turn selected RGB Spectrum’s processor to power a massive video wall.
The wall itself is comprised of 33 HD displays forming a 130 square foot display surface.
Bob Marcus, CEO, RGB Spectrum commented: “Our video wall processors are a vital part of our decision support solution.
“It is a crucial enabling tool that enhances data visualisation, situational awareness, a common operating picture and collaboration.”
