Craig Evans, UK Managing Director, Immix tells ISJ about its extensive library of partner integrations and how the company is responding to industry trends.
Can you tell us about Immix and your approach to software development?
Immix uses what is known as a DevOps model for all of our software development procedures.
This involves a team comprised of both software developers and systems or operations engineers working in tandem to write, test, validate and disseminate all products and solutions related to the Immix platform.
We deploy separate teams that focus on different aspects of our development portfolio.
Our product team focuses on features and solutions for the core Immix product itself, while the partner integrations team focuses on integrating our vast library of partner products (video, alarms, audio, access control, relays, GPS, etc.) into the platform.
You integrate with a range of partners – how does this capability benefit your customers?
Immix is that single pane of glass that enables a monitoring centre to interact with most any security solution on the market.
Immix has the largest library of partner integrations in the remote guarding and video monitoring space.
The idea is to give our customers as many choices as possible as to what systems they wish to deploy and monitor; thus, giving them more choices in what types and levels of service they want to deliver to their clients.
Also, many of our users are third-party monitoring entities that rely on a network of dealers or channel partners to resell their services.
As such, the more products that are supported in the platform, the more opportunities for growth and service delivery are realised in the marketplace.
How is Immix responding to industry trends in remote monitoring and proactive security?
These days AI solutions are by far the driving factor to create efficiencies and deliver new services to the market.
Immix has partnered directly with many of these AI partners to create joint solutions that live within the platform to achieve both cost and operational efficiencies for our users and improved service levels to their customers.
These include the Immix AI Link solution for false and nuisance alarm reduction; Immix AutoPatrol for AI-generated virtual guard patrols and Visual Camera Health (VCH) to ensure the integrity of every camera connection, view and image quality within the platform.
On the horizon, we foresee more agentic AI solutions being created and deployed using Immix such as and actual AI agent that will handle events from receipt of an alarm to dispatch to close.
