The UAE Cyber Security Council has joined the Gartner Research board, highlighting the country’s growing international stature and pivotal role within cybersecurity.
As reported by Arabian Business, the board’s members, who include international cybersecurity pioneers engaged in protecting the world’s digital future, vote annually to approve research studies that share the best-related ideas and practices.
Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, will represent the body on the Gartner board.
Dr. Al Kuwaiti said the UAE Cyber Security Council was the first federal authority in the Middle East to join the Gartner board.
“This shows the UAE’s prominent role and its progress in the field of cybersecurity,” he said.
The UAE is keen to cooperate with its strategic partners and international organisations to address mutual global challenges and find creative solutions, he added.
