Todd Research, a company specialised in threat detection X-ray equipment for safety and security, have been honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation 2022 for its outstanding TR15 and TR40 cabinet X-ray scanners. This prestigious award recognises Todd Research’s ongoing mission to develop innovative threat detection solutions and services, and cements its position at the forefront of the security sector.

Based in Cambridgeshire, Todd Research is proud of its 70-year history of designing, manufacturing and supplying X-ray scanners, metal detectors and blast suppression equipment across a diverse range of public and private markets. Cabinet X-ray scanners lie at the heart of its business, and the company developed the world’s first mailroom X-ray scanner in 1973.

Since then, Todd’s highly skilled team has remained focused on research and development, advancing and expanding its product portfolio to cover a wide range of innovative security solutions, each designed to aid the detection of suspect materials. This forward-thinking approach, combined with precision manufacturing, has enabled the company to grow from a local operation to a global enterprise, with customers in over 80 countries.
