Designed in the UK and manufactured by Third Millennium, the new RXseries Bluetooth Low Energy card readers with LEGIC Connect offer a multi-technology solution for RFID smartcard as well as smartphone access control and related applications, e.g., time-and-attendance, cashless vending etc. They are able to interface with all standard access control systems via Wiegand or OSDP.
“Third Millennium’s RXseries readers are pioneering a clear trend towards access control based on smartphone app in addition to smartcards,” said John Harvey, Head of BU Access Control at LEGIC. “The increased convenience, over-the-air access for credential updating, biometric security and long-distance operation of smartphones provide distinct advantages – plus people seldom forget their smartphones when they go out.”
The contactless readers support Bluetooth Low Energy as well as LEGIC advant, MIFARE and MIFAREDESFire technology. Thanks to the LEGIC Connect mobile credentialing platform, RXseries readers are compatible with Third Millennium’s iOS and Android Mobile Apps while providing end-to-end security, worldwide availability and simple integration with existing infrastructure.
