“Our ambition is not simply to respond to change, but to help shape it,” says Laurence Kenny, Chief Executive Officer, Pyronix Ltd.
What has been the key to Pyronix’s success over its 40 years in business?
Our success has always started with listening.
By understanding what installers and end-users need, we’ve been able to develop professional-grade solutions that solve real-world challenges, rather than simply following trends.
Combining customer focus with leading technology, long-term partnerships and talented people has enabled us to continually innovate.
That commitment has helped our customers grow their businesses while delivering trusted protection and intuitive user experiences for millions of people.
We believe the best innovations are those that make security simpler, smarter and more valuable for everyone.
Looking back, which moment would you say best represents the company’s impact on the industry?
Rather than one defining moment, it’s our ability to anticipate change that has made the biggest impact.
Pyronix helped pioneer the move to wireless intruder alarm systems, giving installers faster, more flexible installations while delivering convenience for end-users.
We then embraced cloud-connected security and smartphone app control, transforming how systems are managed and experienced every day.
We also recognised the importance of IP signalling early, helping customers transition to faster, more resilient and future-ready security solutions that continue to evolve with changing technology.
How has Pyronix adapted to changing customer needs over the years?
Innovation begins with feedback. We continually listen to installers and end-users, using their insights to refine existing products and develop new solutions that solve emerging challenges.
As security has evolved beyond simply protecting the home, we’ve expanded our portfolio with innovations such as CarDefender for vehicle protection and Guard Response, becoming the first UK alarm manufacturer to offer a professionally managed guard dispatch service.
At the same time, we’ve continued investing in software, connectivity and system integration to help installers work more efficiently while providing end-users with greater confidence, convenience and control.
By combining leading technology with professional-grade products and services, we continue to help our customers stay competitive in an ever-changing market.
What opportunities do you see for the company in the future?
The future is about delivering smarter, more connected security experiences.
Our customers are asking for greater integration, improved scalability and software that makes installation, commissioning and system management even simpler.
We’re investing heavily in our cloud platform, HomeControl2.0 app and user experience, while expanding our commercial solutions and refreshing our residential offering.
We’ll continue developing intuitive software, connected services and professional-grade products that work seamlessly together, enabling installers to add value more easily while giving end-users a security experience that feels modern, intelligent and effortless.
By continuing to innovate around installer efficiency and customer experience, we’re building the next generation of connected security.
Looking ahead, our ambition is not simply to respond to change, but to help shape it.
By combining continuous innovation with a deep understanding of customers, we’ll continue developing intelligent security ecosystems that connect products, services and software seamlessly.
Our focus remains on creating solutions that are easier to install, simpler to use and deliver lasting value for both installers and end-users.
