Synectics has announced that it is set to open a new UAE branch in Abu Dhabi.

Visitors to Intersec 2025 will also be able to learn more about the development and be the first in the world to preview new ‘Forensic Search’ and ‘Facial Recognition’ capabilities in the company’s Synergy software.

“We are ideally positioned”

David Aindow, Business Strategy Director, Synectics commented: “Our return to Intersec this year is reflective of a more substantial return to the region.

“As well as re-establishing a dedicated support office, we intend to work closely with partners throughout the Middle East, where our experience means we are ideally positioned to help a wide range of organisations achieve their goals,” Aindow added.

Development

Synectics notes that its multi-sector expertise is well suited to the region’s ambitious plans to develop:

  • New smart cities
  • Transport systems
  • Healthcare facilities
  • Integrated leisure resorts

Forensic Search and Facial Recognition Module

Synectics will be at Stand S1 F39 at Intersec 2025 where the company will give visitors an exclusive preview of its new capabilities in Synergy.

Synectics will showcase two AI-based Synergy features, Forensic Search and a Facial Recognition Module.

Leveraging generative AI, Forensic Search enables users to search footage faster and more accurately with natural language queries.

The company says the development will complement Synergy’s extensive range of incident management tools, facilitating rapid investigative reviews.

The new Facial Recognition (FR) module provides Synergy users with a unified interface, linked to Synergy’s built-in person of interest capabilities.

It will work in unison with the software’s existing incident management features.

Camera solutions

Synectics’ latest camera solutions, including the company’s COEX camera stations, will also be on show at Intersec.

COEX hazardous and safe area cameras which feature built-in analytics capabilities and are widely used in the region.

The cameras are used in the oil, gas, marine and critical infrastructure sectors due to their ability to perform in extreme weather and operating conditions.

Various models will be used for live demos as the show, alongside Synectics’ latest 4K IP cameras.

“Huge potential”

David Aindow, Business Strategy Director, Synectics concluded: “We’ve never had a more exciting and relevant portfolio of solutions to meet modern security and surveillance needs, in the Middle East and globally.

“We can’t wait to be back at Intersec, speaking to customers and demonstrating the huge potential these latest technologies have to offer.”
