Swann has announced the UK launch of MaxRanger4K. It is a new home security product that Swann claims delivers the longest and strongest range of any product of its kind.
Regular wireless security cameras use 2.4GHz Wi-Fi whereas the MaxRanger4K uses Wi-Fi HaLow 866MHz long range wireless technology.
Incorporating this solution means MaxRanger4K can connect up to 250 metres in the open air or 100m metres in typical use.
Features of MaxRanger4K
MaxRanger4K is suitable for everyday use in British homes, especially those that are constructed from brick, have multiple levels and places where Wi-Fi transmission struggle.
Its longer transmission is ideal for hard-to-reach positions like perimeter fences on large homes, car parks, warehouses, businesses and farms.
Areas that have been inaccessible for Wi-Fi or unable to be secured are now able to be protected by MaxRanger4K, giving the users the best chance to prevent unwanted activity.
The hub has 64GB local memory and cloud backup for free recording when you need it.
It features a battery for up to five hours of back-up power to the hub in the event of a power outage on site.
The camera system
The MaxRanger4K is available with a choice of up to two, three or four cameras and the hub. Customers can also purchase extra cameras to monitor up to 8 cameras on the same hub.
The cameras are pre-paired with the hub for setup in minutes and have built-in solar panels meaning you never have to worry about re-charging them.
This system is designed to prevent crime. It has two-way audio and True Detect+ that senses heat, motion, people and cars that trigger mobile alerts, video recording, spotlights and sirens with the system being controllable via the Swann Security app.
The cameras feature the Sony STARVIS sensors to provide enhanced rich 4K colour video throughout both the day and the night.
Swann Security claim the MaxRanger4K cameras can be mounted anywhere as they are designed for use all year round in any weather conditions.
“Its expansive signal range puts it in a class of its own”
Alex Talevski, CEO, Swann Security commented: “The MaxRanger4K showcases the innovation and trust that Swann Security is known for.
“Its expansive signal range puts it in a class of its own, allowing for detection of threats at the early stages. The dedicated HaLow Wi-Fi technology means that even in short distances or crowded areas, the signal is stronger and the cameras won’t struggle to maintain a reliable Wi-Fi connection.”
He added: “This is the security system of the future and Swann is proud to be the first to offer these capabilities to our customers now.”
