International Security Journal is delighted to announce that it has entered a strategic media partnership with the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA).

SIRA seeks to provide Dubai with the highest levels of safety and security through the implementation of international best practices in security systems, services and guards. It currently counts almost 700 licensed security providers as well as many thousands of security professionals working in Dubai on a day-to-day basis.

SIRA plays a pivotal role in the implementation of new security laws and regulations in Dubai along with the training and licensing of those that work within the security industry in Dubai and the provision of regular inspection of public and private sector facilities.

International Security Journal Managing Director, Ian Stokes commented: “Known as ‘The City of the Future’ Dubai has always enjoyed the reputation of being a leader for innovation and a standard-bearer for best business practices coupled with its position as being one of the safest cities in the world.

“Our strategic partnership with SIRA will help to provide a highly valuable insight and access to a wide range of expert content for our International Security Journal global readership community regarding many of the innovative new security systems and services that are being employed within the private security sector in Dubai and the wider region.”

International Security Journal will help SIRA to amplify and share some of the excellent work and best business practices that it carries out on behalf of its membership to the wider international security community.

Following the confirmation of this strategic partnership between SIRA and ISJ, SIRA licensed companies will not only benefit from receiving the latest news and insights from the global security community each month through a complimentary subscription to the ISJ digital edition, but they will also now be eligible for a 50% discount on an ISJ print subscription and ISJ event delegate attendance fees.

SIRA licensed companies will also now be eligible for an automatic 15% discount on a range of advertising and promotional support activity with ISJ.

In return, readers of ISJ will be kept up to date with the newest trends and developments across the Middle East security market through a regular monthly column from SIRA representatives. There will also be regular in-depth interviews with members of the SIRA management team, discussing how the regulatory agency is helping to enhance security in the region and what its plans are for the foreseeable future.

Col. Arif Aljanahi, Director of SIRA added: As the regulatory agency for the security industry in Dubai, it is imperative that we keep our members up to date with the latest security trends and developments from around the world. Therefore, we are delighted to partner with a market-leading media platform like International Security Journal.

“We are confident that this strategic partnership will prove to be hugely successful and beneficial to both parties and our members as SIRA continues its mission to improve security standards both in Dubai and the rest of the world.”

An official formal signing ceremony is scheduled to take place on 5 October 2021 in Dubai.
