Sicuro Group has revealed that it has appointed Miles Watt, CSMP, MBCI, as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
According to the company, the appointment brings an experienced crisis and security leader into the company’s executive team and has come as Sicuro Group continues to expand its crisis response, travel risk, business continuity and security services.
Miles Watt
Watt joined Sicuro Group in 2026 as Senior Advisor, Security and Resilience Consultant.
He brought extensive experience in designing, digitising and implementing risk and resilience programmes.
His programs have track records of being effective, embedded at every level of business and cost concious.
Sicuro Group explained that since he joined the business, he has supported several of the company’s core services.
He coordinated large-scale evacuation operations for multiple clients and more than 4,000 people across the GCC during the recent regional conflict.
He also delivered risk and resilience consultancy to clients across multiple sectors.
He played a crucial role in supporting SicuroResponse clients across key sectors including FMCG, banking and finance, legal services, logistics, technology and consulting by planning.
His advice and execution enabled clients to relocation staff where needed as well as reassure and enable others to remain in place.
Sicuro Group highlighted that Watt brings more than a decade of senior leadership experience across the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
As COO, he will oversee Sicuro Group’s global operations.
The company said that within his role will focus on strengthening service delivery, improving operational readiness and integrating the company’s people, processes and technology.
He will also support the company’s continued growth while maintaining consistent standards across the more than 140 countries in which Sicuro Group operates.
Previous experience
Watt began his career in 2006 as an infantry officer in the British Army Infantry.
He served on combat operations in Afghanistan and supported security operations for the London Olympics and the British Overseas Territories.
He later joined Olive Group as Security Operations Manager.
Within a year, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Olive Group’s East Africa business.
Before joining Sicuro Group, he held senior security, crisis management and business continuity roles at Petrofac.
Watt is a member of the Business Continuity Institute and holds a Level 6 Diploma as a Certified Security Management Professional. He received a gallantry award for his service in Afghanistan.
He also founded the Security and Resilience Professionals’ Network in the UAE, Sicuro added.
