Sepura, the Cambridge-based critical communications organisation, has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, in recognition of its proven compliance to the highest level of information security management. BSI issued the certificate following an extensive audit process.

To achieve the ISO 27001 certification, organisations must demonstrate a systematic and documented approach to protecting and managing sensitive company and customer information including intellectual property, employee and customer details, financial information and data entrusted to it by third parties. Sepura received the certification following its first ISO 27001 audit, confirming the rigorous standard of its information security program.

Steve Barber, CEO at Sepura, confirmed the successful certification, saying: “As a company delivering critical communications solutions to public safety organisations worldwide, it is vitally important for our customers, partners and employees to know we are protecting their assets and data.

“Earning the industry’s most widely recognised information security certification is not only a key indicator of the thoroughness of our existing security programs, it is also testament to Sepura’s ongoing and long-standing commitment to maintaining the highest level of security.”

Sepura provides TETRA and LTE mission critical solutions to customers around the world, through an extensive partner network. It is the leading supplier of TETRA radios to the UK and Germany and has an extensive customer base spreading from South America to Europe, Asia and Australasia.
