ScanPass, the award-winning Mobile Credential from Connect ON that uses a barcode placed on doors for access control, has added dual authentication with a new Scan Plus PIN feature. ScanPass Mobile Credential allows users to point their smartphone or other device credential at the barcode sticker and door to be unlocked for entry. With Scan Plus PIN, users are prompted to provide a PIN after scanning their device at the barcode.
PIN numbers are input from the mobile device, with no keypads or readers needed, reducing the hardware footprint and saving costs for both installer and customer. Individual doors can be easily configured to add Scan Plus PIN, making it especially useful for large campuses or locations with multiple doors requiring higher security.
