Saudi Arabia awarded Presidency of ICAO Aviation Security Committee

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has won the Presidency of the Aviation Security Committee of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for 2023-2024.

The announcement was made during the ICAO’s 229th session held in Montreal, Canada.

The Kingdom will be represented by its permanent representative to the ICAO, Bader bin Saleh Alsagri.

According to an article published by the Saudi Press Agency, the achievement highlights the country’s role and efforts in supporting the air transport industry.

It also highlights its position in international civil aviation forums as well as in regional organisations.

KSA currently chairs several committees in the Arab Civil Aviation Organisation (ACAO).
