To learn more about the specialist services that Precept Management Consultancy offers across the globe, ISJ, in partnership with PerpetuityARC Training, posed key questions to Executive Manager, Nick Hadjiyiannis.

What specialist services do you provide in the region?

Precept Management Consultancy is a leading provider of specialised training solutions in physical security and investigations across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Since 1995, we have been committed to empowering professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel.

Our comprehensive training programs are meticulously designed by industry experts to address the evolving security landscape and regulatory requirements.

We work with a range of industry-renowned, professional consultants with specific subject-matter expertise in order to offer our clients the most relevant, cost-effective and accessible solutions to their training requirements, tailored specifically to address any complex challenges that they may face within their organisations and to offer existing employees the opportunity to “level-up”.

Our feedback is consistently excellent, meaning that we have become the training solutions provider of choice for many of our clients across the entire span of our 19 years in operation.

To date, Precept Management Consultancy provides both management consultancy and training in the fields of management development, crisis and business continuity management, physical security, risk management, information technology, data network security, financial management and accountancy, costing and auditing and corporate services.

Our range of services coupled with our client base is ever-expanding, so we are excited to see what 2025 brings.

Our training schedule for next 12-months is very busy and we will be travelling between Oman and Dubai for our upcoming classroom events.

What have been some major business milestones?

One of our key milestones was being asked to cooperate with the Central Bank of Oman; we were instrumental in helping introduce the concept of crisis management and business continuity planning into the financial sector of the Sultanate of Oman.

As a result of the successes of this project, we were awarded further projects for developing the crisis management and BCM plans of the other largest major bank in the Sultanate.

Another key milestone involves the connections we have managed to make over our years in operation. We work with industry-leaders to ensure that all of our services remain focused on current trends and with problem-solving at the heart of their aims.

In industry, it is paramount to remain one step ahead; our work with the latest discourse, technologies, delivery methodologies and experts who lead in their respective fields culminate in us being able to offer solutions that meet the requirements of modern organisations.

This includes building international partnerships with key providers.

How has the world of training changed since starting in 1995?

Training has changed a lot, with technology and the internet playing a pivotal role. You only need to compare what ‘research’ constituted in 1995 (visiting a library and opening a book) to what is now freely available in nanoseconds via the worldwide web.

Traditional learning methods – such as face-to-face – are, as we all know, being transformed to be more accessible and engaging, with the introduction of virtual classrooms, game theory and even virtual simulations for some specific training aims.

Organisations are ensuring that their employees are a step ahead in terms of handling security incidents and this is only achieved by continuous development of their employees.

There are also geopolitical and social changes that have ‘sped-up’ this sector’s development in the GCC area. With the growing digital economy, we can’t ignore the fact that cybersecurity has become a critical sector.

Countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia have invested heavily in AI, surveillance and cyber-defence which shapes not only the training delivered but also the application of this technology.

We are increasingly seeing questions from delegates around AI as the interest in this technology rises.

Sometimes, it feels like a switch was flipped overnight and there was a great boom of sector growth for AI and cyber.

We need to ensure that training continues to reflect the modernisation of the security sectors and that all providers are responsive.

There are sectors (that perhaps get overlooked by other countries) such as travel security, public security events like the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the growing tourism sector in the UAE and Saudi Arabia that have led to investments in sophisticated security measures, including drone technology and AI-driven surveillance.

This has driven the boom in security in this geographical area. When we’re working with organisations, we need to make sure we’re meeting their requirements according to what they are using and the legislation in place – this is always at the very heart of what we do.

How are you looking to keep expanding your training and consultancy services to countries outside of Oman?

In order to expand our services beyond the GCC, we partner with regional organisations to offer joint programs and to share resources, such as our partnership with PerpetuityARC Training in the UK.

We also conduct market research to identify potential opportunities that we could expand into which we aren’t currently looking at.

When working with partners, we ensure that all of our rigorous demonstrations of quality checks and controls are in place in order to maintain our mission to deliver an excellent service to our clients.

And of course, we hope to raise our profile even further and place ourselves ahead in the market!
