Pimloc launches new “Spotlight” feature for Secure Redact platform

Pimloc has announced a new feature to the Secure Redact platform, Spotlight.

It was designed for high-traffic environments like football stadiums, entertainment venues and busy public locations.

The addition to the platform allows users to focus on specific areas within video footage that will ensure precise redaction where it’s needed.

Spotlight is available with all Secure Redact packages, furthering the platform’s comprehensive suite of redaction tools.

There will be no additional costs for the Spotlight feature.

The Spotlight Feature

Spotlight enables users to focus on particular sections of a captured video scene. It focuses on activity and allows it to be viewed or reviewed whilst protecting all the personal and sensitive data in the background.

In order to protect everyone who is not the main subject of the video, individuals who enter the spotlight window will still be redacted like normal, unless they have been set to remain visible.

The benefit of having multiple Spotlights on the same video enables the viewer to focus on the sections of video that need to be reviewed, enhancing public safety and effectively managing complex environments. 

Spotlight is suitable for many scenarios, like reviewing footage that has been captured from a busy public place, crowded entertainment venues and even in school settings where the safety of its pupils is paramount.
