Liberty Defense Holdings has announced that its HEXWAVE system was selected by a Nevada Courthouse to screen all visitors that enter the facility.

The HEXWAVE will be implemented by the end of the year at the screening entrances to improve contraband and threat detection capabilities.

This increases search capacity and consistency.

Features of HEXWAVE

HEXWAVE uses millimetre wave, advanced 3D imaging and AI to detect concealed metallic and non-metallic threats as well as other prohibited items.

The system allows for rapid, automated screening using a high-throughput, contactless, walkthrough portal to detect liquid, powder and plastic explosives, 3D printed ghost guns and other contraband that enhanced metal detectors on the market do not detect.

“A more comprehensive screening approach for threats and contraband”

Bill Frain, CEO, Liberty Defense commented: “This award comes on the heels of other major contracts with correctional facilities and confirms the demand for a more comprehensive screening approach for threats and contraband at checkpoints.

“The ability of HEXWAVE to safely and effectively screen visitors for non-metallic and metallic threats was a key decision for the award along with the small footprint and best value versus current offerings.”

He added: “We continue to see more demand for enhanced threat detection in multiple market verticals like corrections, aviation worker screening and government facilities, among others.”
