Multiple fatalities confirmed following shootings in Rotterdam

Official sources have confirmed that three people were killed by a gunman in the Dutch city of Rotterdam.

The suspect opened fire at an apartment and at the Rotterdam Medical Centre, killing a 39-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter as well as a male lecturer, aged 43.

Fires then broke out at both locations.

The shootings took place just after 2 PM local time on 28 September.
