Military exercise taking place in Dubai

Residents of Dubai have been issued with a notice from the Ministry of Interior regarding preparations for a major military exercise which will be taking place in the city throughout February.

The “Arabian Gulf Security 2” exercise will be hosted at the Dubai Police Academy in Umm Suqeim during the month of February – between 7.00am to 1.00pm and then 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

The MoI notice warned residents the exercise might be accompanied by loud noises as a result of the movement of helicopters and other security-related training.

Forces from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman have already arrived in Dubai in order to take part in the activity.
