The Arts Club was founded in 1863 for people who had professional or amateur relationships with the Arts, Literature or Sciences.

The Club moved to its present location in Central London’s Mayfair and underwent a complete renovation in 2011. The beginning of 2016 saw the opening of new Hotel facilities.

Controlled Limited has carried out a major upgrade to the security systems. Lenel OnGuard being replaced by a state-of-the-art fully unified Genetec Security System. This system unifies Access Control, CCTV and Intercoms. It integrates with Fire and Alarm systems. The system is managed and monitored from a purpose-built security office.

Beginning in 2011, Controlled has implemented a discrete aspirator fire detection system for front of house with hidden sounders. For back of house, conventional Apollo devices are used. Following on from that, a Lenel OnGuard Access Control system was installed. The analogue DVR system (specified and installed by others) was found not to be adequate. Controlled recommended and was commissioned to implement a Genetec CCTV System. Following extensive trials of different cameras, Sony was chosen as the preferred choice.

The Arts Club has become a 24/7/365 operation. This places unique demands on system reliability,  support, maintenance and installation works.

Controlled Ltd continues to provide the facility with comprehensive maintenance support.
