LifeSafety Power offers free LED Light Kit for E6, E8 and E12 ProWire products

LifeSafety Power’s ProWire includes magnetic, LED light strips for the E6, E8 and E12 products.

The product brings illumination to enclosures to assist in the installation, management and servicing of power solutions.

Power supply enclosures are typically located in dark or remote environments such as IT closets, compact data centres or other locations where space and light is at a minimum.

The E6, E8 and E12 ProWire products will include the LED Light Kit featuring the option of 12VDC or 24VDC operation, tool-free mounting and PIR motion sensor.

Keith Kober, Senior Sales Director, LifeSafety addressed the new addition: “There’s a definite buzz around the release of the LED Light Kits judging from the positive comments we continue to receive since its release in early September.

“LifeSafety Power is focused on improving the installation experience with this component, which can work with E12 and 24VDC for plug-and-play versatility.”

Features of each LED Light Kit

The E6 enclosure light kit features an 18 inch Light Kit for visual management of the system.

The E8 and E12 enclosures are designed for access control projects with 16+ doors, included will be a 28 inch LED Light Kit.

The LED Light Kit for the E6 and E8/E12 emit 400 lumens of natural/daylight lighting per foot.

The kit has PIR sensor that activates the LED when the enclosure door opens or when movement is detected and will automatically turn off after 15 minutes or when no movement is being detected.

Installation and longevity

The light kits use minimal power and stay cool throughout operation, with the LEDS offering long-life and reliable operation.

The unit can be mounted at the top of the enclosure with magnets and can accommodate different wire lengths with splicing lever connectors.

The LEDs can be powered using C8, D8, M8 or SD4/16 outputs.
