Kraken Technology Group announces new addition to Board of Advisors

Kraken Technology has named Admiral Lord West of Spithead as a member of the Board of Advisors.
Admiral Lord West created the United Kingdom’s first ever National Security Strategy and Cybersecurity Strategy as well as formulating a number of other strategies including:
- Counter-terrorist policy
- Cybersecurity
- Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear security
- Science and technology for countering international terrorism
- Guidance for local government in enhancing the security of crowded places
He orchestrated the basic construct for the security for the 2012 Olympics and he was Chairman of the National Security Forum.
Lord West was also a member of the Intelligence and Security Committee 2022-24.

Admiral Lord West
For the majority of his naval career, Admiral Lord West spent most of his time at sea, serving on 14 different ships and commanding three of them in the Falklands War.
In November 2000, he was appointed the Commander-in-Chief Fleet, NATO Commander-in-Chief East Atlantic and NATO Commander Allied Navel Forces North.
He led the United Kingdom’s maritime response to 9/11, including the invasion of Afghanistan.
He became First Sea Lord in 2002.
Lord West inspired and organised the Trafalgar Bicentennial Fleet Review and led the Navy during its crucial and successful role in the initial invasion of Iraq.
After his retirement, he advised both Labour and Conservative parties on defence and foreign policy and was later appointed the Chancellor of Solent University.
In 2007, the Government gave him the responsibility for cybersecurity, national security and counter-terrorism.
