Steve Liddiard, CEO, LILIN UK discusses the company’s plans to further grow its presence in both the UK and across Europe.

What does it mean to be a total solutions provider?

To be a total solutions provider is to be able to complete a project – providing cameras, recording solutions, software and any third party integration requirements to meet the customer’s needs. At LILIN we work with installers and their end users to deliver operational requirements and fulfill their security needs.

How are you looking to expand your product portfolio in 2022?

This year we’re looking at introducing two new product ranges. The first is our E Series line, fulfilling the demand for Taiwanese manufactured surveillance. Economic, efficient and ethical, these cameras and recorders are designed to help security installers who are under pressure to provide a cost effective solution.

At the other end, we have a range of AI on the edge cameras being launched imminently and will be looking at delivering more AI-enabled solutions for high end installations that require intelligent IoT solutions with integration possibilities.

Have you got any recent case studies/success stories you could tell us about?

We’ve been working with London based installer Aonyx, one of our Platinum Partners, for several years and they have recently completed an installation at Elephant Park, a high end apartment complex in Central London.

LILIN provided a full security solution, comprising of approximately 100 cameras, a server recording solution and specialist software to allow concierge and reception access to limited camera views at their desks. This allows staff to monitor common areas whilst maintaining resident’s privacy.

Can you tell us about your new European distribution partnership?

Our recent partnership with SeeSense is in line with our new strategy to increase LILIN’s presence in Europe. Our three-year plan focuses on building distribution links across Europe; this provides installers with an easier purchasing process, local market understanding and technical support in their native language. SeeSense joins our established partners in Sweden, France, Spain and Benelux.

What are your plans for the next 12 months?

In the next 12 months, we will be seeking to continue to grow our presence in both the UK’s security sector and across Europe.

We’re going to be expanding our education programmes with both webinars and in-person sessions at our purpose built training facility in Milton Keynes. We’ll be working with manufacturing partners such as GJD to lead joint sessions, showing the integration possibilities we have been developing.

We’re also looking forward to getting back to our normal schedule of trade shows, events and in-person meetings that have been postponed for the last few years! We recently attended ISE in Barcelona and everyone was very positive about the return of such events.
