Assistive listening specialist, Contacta Inc., has launched what is said to be the world’s first window intercom system with a Level 8 UL752 approval.
The STS-K023 intercom system – designed for installation in high level security windows – provides two-way communication in environments such as banks, pharmacies and law enforcement offices.

According to Contacta, the new intercom system features a Level 8 ballistic-rated STS-BL8, glass-mounted speaker and microphone customer unit.
This is designed to enhance security by fitting in existing holes of 2.5-4 inches diameter in the glass.
Systems in the range also feature audio settings including AGC, volume IN/OUT adjustment, feedback suppression adjustment, call recording, call button option, wired or wireless headset connection and energy saving sleep mode.
The STS-K023 intercom system is part of a new range of window intercom systems for the US market.
