CPD-accredited seminar
The event will host industry speakers and include four main sessions:
- Martyns Law – The UK Protect Duty Is Coming – Nick Aldworth, CT Protect Ltd – covering the proposed legislation and providing insight into the responsibilities it will place on people and premises
- Developing Collaborative Surveillance Solutions – Martin Bonfield, Synectics – looking at how technology is transforming public safety collaboration among agencies, using the 2022 Commonwealth Games as an example
- Security & Risk Considerations for Events – Are We Learning Fast Enough? – Ally Isom-Leonard, Senior Security Consultant, Buro Happold – discussing ways in which the industry can learn more dynamically – sharing methods, intelligence and best practice to deal with evolving crowd behaviours, incidents and conflicts
- Cybersecurity and Surveillance Solutions – Jason Brown, Lenovo – focused on how systems have become more susceptible to attack as they have become more intelligent. It will help consultants better understand the motivation behind attacks, the form these attacks might take and how to guard against them
