iLOQ has recently signed a five-year blanket purchase order contract with CERN for the supply of a battery-free and wireless digital access management solution.
According to an announcement from iLOQ, the system will enable secure, traceable and energy-efficient access management across CERN’s sites and technical areas.
Through iLOQ’s centralised management software, authorised users will be able to update their digital keys via smartphone, ensuring up-to-date access rights.
The contract also covers the delivery of smart cylinders, keys, programming equipment, software and related services such as maintenance and training of CERN personnel.
“Security and reliability”
“We’re proud to partner with CERN, one of the world’s leading scientific institutions,” explained Heikki Hiltunen, President and CEO, iLOQ.
“This collaboration reflects iLOQ’s commitment to innovation and sustainable security. We both share the desire to drive technology and humanity in a direction for good.
“By equipping over 2,500 doors with our digital locking solution, we help ensure security and reliability in one of the most demanding environments, while not affecting the daily work of the site.”
