Integrated Design Limited (IDL) will be returning to The Security Event to showcase the latest innovations in integrated entrance control technology, including the first UK showing of its new anti-climb detection system.

The Security Event, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham between 5-7 April, features the world’s leading security brands, offering visitors the opportunity to source the latest products, technologies and solutions, whilst networking and meeting face-to-face with key experts from across the industry.

Visitors to the Fastlane turnstiles stand, 3-F20, will have the opportunity to see IDL’s new state of the art, anti-climb detection system in action. Also on stand, the wider Glassgate 155 and Glassgate 400 Plus lanes both featuring Sidegate Detection technology, demonstrating how they detect two people attempting unauthorised side-by-side dual entry.

Stylistically, the Glassgate 155 units are recognisable as a Fastlane product, utilising dual glass barrier panels operating in a bi-directional normally closed mode, but now feature at least 56 concealed optical beams. The concealed optical system allows for a sleeker look with waist height glass barriers and optional locking brakes.

Also on stand will be Fastlane’s innovative Door Detective Plus product. Featuring Ethernet connectivity and POE options, Door Detective Plus reinforces access control systems by monitoring the throughput of open, access-controlled doorways, corridors and passageways. This latest Door Detective Plus now also features IDL’s Sidegating technology.

It ensures that the ‘one person one door access’ rule is met, overcoming the age-old problem of controlling how many people pass through an access-controlled doorway and in which direction.

Fastlane turnstiles have always been renowned for their integration capabilities and this will be in evidence at the show with the Glassgate 150 beautifully integrated with IDEMIA’s Morpho Wave compact readers. Utilising touchless 3D fingerprint technology, this integration is designed to allow a seamless, touch-free entrance control experience.

Tony Smith, Major Accounts and Marketing Manager at IDL, says: “The Security Event has quickly become a highlight of the security industry calendar and we are looking forward to exhibiting and showcasing a range of our popular turnstiles and integrations, as well as demonstrating some new security features too.

“The show provides the opportunity for us to show visitors to the stand our state of the art anti-climb detection technology, which, alongside our other integrated security solutions, is designed to offer our customers the very latest in security innovation.

“2022 is shaping up to be a great year for Fastlane and visitors to our stand can be the first to learn more about an exciting new addition to our Glassgate range by signing up to our exclusive show mailing list.”

If you’re planning to visit The Security Event, the Fastlane team will be available to discuss your pedestrian entrance control requirements and advise on the best products to meet your specific entrance security needs.
