i-PRO has announced its partnership with Kepler Vision Technologies, a developer of AI-driven patient safety applications.
According to the company, this partnership will help healthcare organisations enhance patient monitoring and support care teams facing persistent staffing pressures, particularly during night shifts.
Through the partnership, the Kepler Night Nurse application will run on i-PRO’s GenAI Fisheye Camera, powered by the Ambarella CV72 AI vision SoC.

Combining advanced edge-AI processing with high-quality imaging, the solution helps care teams identify patient safety events sooner without requiring additional processing hardware.
The company said that the application uses AI to recognise activity that may require caregiver attention, such as a patient attempting to leave a bed or a potential fall.
When the system detects these events, it sends a real-time alert through a nurse calling system so caregivers can assess the situation and respond based on the patient’s needs. This can help teams focus their attention where it is most needed, while reducing routine room checks that may disturb patients and add workload for staff.
Kepler selected i-PRO’s GenAI camera platform for its advanced edge processing capabilities, open architecture and ability to support AI applications at the edge.
As i-PRO cameras are built on an open architecture, third-party applications such as Kepler Night Nurse can run directly on the camera, allowing healthcare organisations to deploy new AI-powered capabilities without the need for additional servers or processing equipment.
In healthcare environments, where patient data privacy is paramount, this allows patient safety events to be processed at the edge without relying on external servers or cloud infrastructure.
This approach helps reduce unnecessary data movement while supporting real-time alerts and simpler deployment, the company added.
i-PRO cameras are also designed with a strong focus on cybersecurity and responsible AI, supporting secure deployment in sensitive healthcare environments.
“Simple, secure and trusted”
Gerard Figols, Chief Operating Officer at i-PRO commented: “At i-PRO, we believe technology should solve meaningful customer challenges while remaining simple, secure and trusted.
“For healthcare providers facing growing care demands and workforce shortages, that means helping teams work more efficiently so caregivers can devote more time to patients.
“Our partnership with Kepler Vision Technologies demonstrates the power of our open edge-AI platform, enabling advanced applications such as Kepler Night Nurse to run directly on our GenAI cameras.
“The result is a scalable solution that delivers actionable insights at the edge while preserving privacy, strengthening cybersecurity and simplifying deployment,” he concluded.
“Protect patients and work more efficiently”
Harro Stokman, CEO of Kepler Vision Technologies stated: “With growing pressure on healthcare staff, especially at night, technology must actively support caregivers rather than create additional complexity.
“By partnering with i-PRO, we can bring Kepler Night Nurse to more care facilities worldwide, helping teams protect patients and work more efficiently despite ongoing staff shortages.”
Availability
Kepler Night Nurse for i-PRO cameras will be available by October 2026 from selected authorised i-PRO resellers and channel partners.
