i-PRO has announced the addition of 19 new models to its Aero PTZ camera range that feature enhanced durability and edge AI processing.
The heavy-duty cameras are built for extreme weather and environmental conditions, supporting up to 4K resolution and featuring AI-driven analytics.
“Ensure clear visibility and accurate data in any environment”
Gerard Figols, Chief Product Officer, i-PRO commented: “The combination of extreme weather resistance and advanced AI-based analytics, like advanced auto-tracking to ensure clear visibility and accurate data in any environment, sets PTZ apart.
“The Aero PTX line now incorporates edge computing technology, aligning with our goal of bringing the advantages of AI everywhere.”
He added: “This makes it the most robust model on the market in terms of reliability and analytic power, capable of proactively securing mission-critical environments under the most extreme conditions such as hurricanes and cyclones.”
Features of Aero PTZ Cameras
As extreme weather phenomena becomes more common, i-PRO has developed products that can be suited that meet the challenge of remaining protected regardless of the weather or environmental conditions.
Some of these include:
- A zoom range of up to 40x
- Shock-resistant
- Water-proof
- IK10, MIL-STD-167-1A and IP66/68 for uninterrupted video protection
- Heavy salt corrosion resistant (C5-M)
- Operates clearly and reliably in temperatures from -50°C to 65°C due to its transparent glass heater
- Pan and tilt motor mechanism for accurate movement in up to 168mph winds (exceeding the Saffir-Simpson wind speed rating for cyclones and hurricanes)
- AI auto-tracking to keep people and vehicles in focus, even in complete darkness for up to 560 metres away using IR illumination
Figols commented on the use of IR illumination: “The Aero PTZ features the longest night time IR illumination can be turned on to deter intruders and preserve colour information when required”.
The use of AI
i-PRO’s AI development platform allows multiple AI applications to be installed as needed for each operational environment, including third party apps.
There are up to three simultaneous AI apps on the 2MP models with a wide range of customised solutions available.
For maximum cybersecurity resilience, the cameras incorporate signed firmware, brute-force protection and FIPS 140-2 level 3 compliance with a secure element chip to safeguard against cyber-threats.
Installation and customisation
There are easy and flexible installation options as the Aero PTZ is designed for a hassle-free setup.
It features easy kitting, cable connectors and newly developed mount brackets that support one person installation.
It has flexible power options that support 100-240V AC or 24V AC/DC power for almost any installation environment.
The camera has multiple resolutions and illuminators, including the IR Light and White Light, and also has a range of body colours that are available to meet diverse operational needs.
The support for additional industry standards includes NEMA TS2 (Traffic), MIL STD-810-G (US DoD), IEC 62236-4 and EN 50121-4 (Railway).
The cameras will be available to order from December 2024.
