Hundreds gather for virtual World Cyber Security Summit – Oman

Over 300 participants tuned in to the virtual World Cyber Security Summit – Oman on March 24 2021 to discuss topics such as government cybersecurity and defence strategies, digital workplace security and cybersecurity framework for critical assets and critical infrastructure.

Benzinga reports that the participants at the virtual event included His Excellency Eng Redha Bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ali Hassan Moosa, CEO, Oman Banks Association and Laila Abdullah Al Hadhrami – Digital Transformation & Change Management Expert – Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology, Oman.

Ali Hassan Moosa said in his opening keynote at the Summit that: “Cybersecurity is key to the survival of the financial order.” Moreover, in the ‘Cyber Security for secure, vigilant, and resilient enterprises…’ segment, A Karthik, ManageEngine, added: “Be secure, be vigilant and be resilient to mitigate the emerging cyber-threats that have been reported.”

The virtual summit allowed participants to discuss and network in separate consultation groups and also chat with speakers. “Virtual events are an excellent opportunity for everyone in the industry to come together during these difficult times,” remarked Mithun Shetty, CEO of Trescon.

“Affordable and intelligent cybersecurity solutions & strategies are the need of the hour.”
