Hikvision has announced the launch of its new-generation General Purpose Servers, including Tower Workstations and Rackmount Servers.
These servers are designed to elevate the performance and reliability of systems for security projects, the company says.
The new servers are engineered to be suitable for the most demanding application scenarios, whilst offering:
- Hardware
- Flexible configuration options
- End-to-end quality assurance
“The backbone of security projects”
Fred Wu, Product Line Director, Hikvision commented: “Our new range of General Purpose Servers are engineered to meet the highest standards of performance and reliability in security projects.
“With superior hardware, flexible configurations and unmatched after-sales service, these servers are designed to form the backbone of security projects, ensuring peace of mind for our customers,” Wu concluded.
The Tower Workstations
The Tower Workstations feature an industrial-grade design with wide temperature adaptability, as well as shock and dust resistance which ensures stable operation even in extreme environments, the company states.
The station is suitable for security applications requiring robust, reliable server solutions and remains reliable under challenging conditions.
The Rackmount Server
The Rackmount Server is equipped with Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory, which significantly reduces the likelihood of system crashes, server failures and data damage.
Moreover, the server uses hard drives that support uninterrupted work over extended periods, ensuring efficiency in data storage and transmission.
The product is powered by a server-level operating system which optimises resource management and guarantees high-load business operations.
The company states that this architecture provides a seamless experience, catering to the demands of different security systems and security projects.
Customisable servers
A selection of accessories enables Hikvision’s new General Purpose Servers to meet the specific needs of various security projects.
For example, versatile storage capabilities support a wide range of hard drives (HDD, SSD) and capacity options to meet data storage needs.
The accessories also offer expansion card support for GPUs, RAID cards and network interface cards, ensuring performance and adaptability.
The modular design allows for the addition of power supplies, cooling systems and other components tailored to the unique requirements of various application scenarios.
The new servers offer expandability and compatibility, which will accommodate hardware and software upgrades.
This flexibility empowers integrators and end-users to adapt their systems to evolving security requirements, ensuring long-term viability and performance.
Quality assurance
The General Purpose Servers undergo professional testing to guarantee compatibility with each model and configuration.
The company states that this approach ensures that every server is optimised for use with Hikvision software and provides a variety of professional selections to meet the diverse needs of different security projects.
This means that all Hikvision General Purpose Servers are backed by Platinum After-Sales Service, which prioritises rapid response to ensure the continuity of business operations.
This includes 24/7 remote technical support and on-site support within four hours also available, Hikvision says.
