HID announces expansion of Signo to meet access control needs

HID has announced the expansion of its signature line of Signo Readers to include models that meet varying customer needs.
This includes harsh conditions and stylistic preferences for streamlined and economical requirements.
The latest Signo models
Currently the readers available are the white Signo Readers, Signo Mechanical Keypad Readers and the Signo Express.
The white Signo Readers provide a clean, minimalistic modern look that are suitable for architects, designers and people looking to blend their access control readers into new environments that require bright and neutral aesthetics.
The Mechanical Keypad readers provide users with a reliable, high performing option for harsh environments such as cold and wet weather when there may be low visibility. This option offers users a traditional mechanical device.
The Signo Express reader offers users a cost effective solution for secure physical access control.
Addressing dynamic security needs
HID Signo Readers are designed to deliver innovative features to help keep organisations secure.
HID claim that the readers are highly versatile as they support a wide range of credential technologies, including HID mobile access through Bluetooth and near field communication (NFC) capability.
The readers also feature Apple’s enhanced contactless polling (ECP) which supports credentials in the Apple Wallet and also supports mobile credentials in Google Wallet.
It also has enhanced performance due to its secure storage. It has a surface detection feature that allows the reader to automatically recalibrate and optimise read range performance.
The device also has the capability to be connected to and managed remotely without the need for ‘sneakernet’ or being physically touched.
