Heras has confirmed that it will soon be commencing the construction of a €10m state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at its head office in the Netherlands.
Heras is one of Europe’s leading end-to-end suppliers of permanent and mobile perimeter solutions.
New Heras facility
The new Heras facility will initially produce sliding, swing and bi-fold gates.
These solutions will be bound for the UK market as early as autumn 2024.
The new fully automated facility will be constructed at its site in Oirschot as part of a major investment and upgrade.
Spanning 5,000 m², the project will sit alongside Heras’ existing plant, with the company claiming that it will be the most technologically advanced fencing and gate manufacturing hub in Europe.
Housing a fully automated laser and welding line, it will also offer material handling in the production of products such as the Delta sliding gate.
“An important new phase”
“The new production facility in Oirschot marks an important new phase in Heras’ journey, on the back of the full upgrade and automation of our two Heras mobile plants,” said Emmanuel Rigaux, CEO, Heras.
“This is an investment with which Heras immediately reinforces its distinctive place in the European market.
“This also bears witness to Heras’ long term commitment to the Oirschot community.
“This €10m investment will allow Heras to operate more sustainably and better serve its customers because it will significantly increase capacity, productivity and quality – whilst reducing lead times,” Rigaux added.
“Great news for our UK customers”
“Heras is making a very significant investment in our manufacturing capabilities in the Netherlands, which will give a commercial advantage to all of our European businesses – including here in the UK,” added David Owen, Managing Director, Heras UK.
“Centrally, we will have the capability to go to a truly 24/7 operation, which, in turn, will deliver greater economies of scale, offer increased flexibility, ensure the quality of our products and reduce lead times.
“This has been nearly two years in the planning and is great news for our UK customers requiring permanent perimeter protection solutions.”
Production of the Heras facility will start in October 2023.
